The NZ ETA cannot be extended after it expires. To stay longer, you must leave New Zealand and submit a fresh application before re-entering.

Yes. Status updates go to your registered email. You can also track your application through the ETA portal.

Apply at least 4 days before your travel date to allow adequate processing time.
Does each family member need a separate ETA?
Yes. Every traveller, including children, must hold their own NZ ETA.
Can I work in New Zealand on an NZ ETA?
No. The NZ ETA does not permit employment. It covers tourism, short study, and business visitor activities only.
