New Zealand ETA Requirements
The NZ eTA application requires certain documents to be submitted with the form. The requirements remain the same for all eTA types. Review each requirement carefully before starting your application.
Passport Requirement
- Upload a clear scanned copy of the passport bio-data page.
- All details must be fully visible and clearly readable, including the MRZ.
- The scan must be in colour and high quality, with all corners visible.
Note: Screenshots, expired passports, or unclear copies will require resubmission.
Photograph Requirement
- Upload a clear scanned copy of a recent passport-size photograph.
- The face must be clear, front-facing, and centred.
- The photo should be in colour and of good quality, with a plain white background.
Note: Photos with shadows, filters, or covered faces will require resubmission.
Additional Information on Passport Requirement
To be eligible for the application, the passport:
- Must be valid for 6 months from the date of arrival in New Zealand.
- Must have at least 1 blank page for the entry/exit stamp.
